First Season
In the first season we spent part of each evening listening to a portion of the Mother Night audio series by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women Who Run with the Wolves. Clarissa artfully uses stories to help us understand ourselves, our archetypes and our way of being. Following listening, there was an opportunity to share what the words brought up for you, if you chose. You can learn more about Mother Night and Clarissa here.
February 2014, Guest facilitator Odette Warner led a guided visualization exercise before the Clarissa audio.
March 2014, discussion followed from questions: How would your life have been different if there had been a Red Tent in your neighbourhood when growing up? What nourishes your soul when menstruating? What would you like to experience in a Red Tent? What is the sacred feminine? What is it to be a woman?
Early April 2014, Guest facilitator Chris Bruels led a guided visualization exercise followed by a discussion of trust and connection between women.
Late April 2014, Guest facilitator Roberta Meilleur led a movement break. There was also an audio selection from Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes on humanity's survival despite challenging our environments and our bodies with unnatural substances.
May 2014, Guest facilitator Jade de Trey led a movement break and Audrie Lankoff led a guided meditation, followed by sharing some of our favourite books with each other.

Theresa Brulotte ~ co-facilitator of the first season of events, who was inspired to join the facilitating team just before the very first event, and whose sense of spiritual integrity and balance contributed to setting and maintaining the tone of the first season of Red Tents.
Holly Brading ~ creative and talented seamstress who brought together the various pieces of new and second-hand red fabric into an amazingly beautiful red tent. In consultation with Timothy, they developed a system that makes it surprisingly easy to set up and take down the tent, which is sewn in pieces for easier handling.
Timothy Crighton ~ inventive assistant with experience in theatre set design, who helped to brainstorm and then install the systems required for the ceiling fabric to easily be lifted up and down during tent set-up and take-down, as well as the attachment system for the tent wall fabric to be connected to the yurt. Timothy was supportive and extraordinarily helpful in the first season, even lighting the tiki torches outside near the end of each evening.
